BHANTE B. SRI SARANANKARA selfless devotion to the development of the Buddha Sasana and his immense contribution to the international community, he was honoured by the Supreme Council of the Maha Sangha of Malwattha Chapter, Kandy, Sri Lanka by conferring the title “Sangha Keerthi Sri ”Upon him in 2017. Also, he was appointed as the Chief High Priest (Judiciary) of Malaysia in year 2007.

The Uposatha day is observed on the New and Full moon of each month. It is traditionally observed as a day of more intensive Dhamma practice.

This special series of calendar features scenes according to period sequence from the past events of Maha Karuna Buddhist Society & Yayasan Maha Karuna, coupled with some notable quotes from its founder’s Rev Bootawatte Sri Saranankara Maha Thera’s teaching over the years as well as other great masters.

There is a shipment delay of the paper material needed to print the 4 Nikayas. The paper material was supposed to arrive in Malaysia early November 2021 but was delayed due to global pandemic.
The printer will update us on the status of the delivery at the end of December 2021.

On 21 November 2021, we were honoured to host Āyasmā Aggacitta Mahāthera for a special interview held in conjunction with Sangha Day B.E. 2565 Observance. The interview was the first of a two-part programme featuring Ven. Aggacitta Mahāthera and Ven. Ajahn Jayasaro.
In this interview, we learned about the aspects of strengthening our spiritual practice even amidst today’s challenges. The interview was conducted by Bro. Ananda Fong, Director of Pustaka Nalanda.
